What pnl.xyz is

pnl.xyz is a launchpad for trading algorithms, on the venues you already use.

You browse algos by their track record, allocate margin, and pick a signed multiplier for each. Positive copies the algo, negative counters it, zero is out. Each rebalance, your net target position is the sum of what every algo you hold is asking for, and the platform moves you there.

Your account stays yours

There is no deposit, no vault, and no wallet created on your behalf.

You connect your own wallet and approve a delegated trading key — a mechanism both Lighter and Hyperliquid support natively. Hyperliquid calls it an API wallet, Lighter calls it an API key. It lets pnl.xyz place orders on your account and nothing else.

The key cannot withdraw or transfer your funds, and that limit is enforced by the exchange rather than by our code. Stated plainly: if this platform were fully compromised, an attacker could trade your margin badly. They could not take it.

You can revoke the key from the exchange at any time, without asking us.

Approvals expire

Both venues time-limit trading approvals — Hyperliquid’s after roughly 180 days, Lighter’s on an explicit expiry timestamp. pnl.xyz checks before every rebalance and asks you to re-approve a week before it lapses, because re-signing needs your wallet connected and you present.

If it does lapse, your positions stop being managed while your account still looks active. That is the failure we are trying to spare you.

What a position in an algorithm means

An algorithm emits a target exposure for a market — a number between -1 and +1 — on every 15-minute bar. Your position is that number, scaled by the margin you allocated and the multiplier you chose.

Holding two algos that both want BTC means you hold the sum. If one wants long and the other short, you hold the difference and pay trading fees on the difference. That netting is the reason to run a basket on one account rather than several.
