The launch gate
When you press Submit, PnL tests your algo before anyone can copy it. The gate is there to stop strategies that only look good on paper.
What your algo has to show.
Section titled “What your algo has to show.”Test as you go.
Section titled “Test as you go.”You don’t have to guess. Two cheaper checks tell you where you stand first.
- BacktestHow the strategy would have done on past data.
- Fast evaluationA quick preview of the gate, plus how the result copes with higher costs.
- SubmitThe real test. It returns a pass or a refusal.
All three cost credits. If the full test fails to run, you aren’t charged. Your own agent can run all three for you with an API key.
If it passes.
Section titled “If it passes.”You name your algo in the app and it goes live with a Trial badge. Only you can use the pass, only once, and it expires after a while, so list it soon.
Once live, it builds a track record. The PnL team can later review that record and upgrade it to Proven.
If it’s refused.
Section titled “If it’s refused.”You get the reasons. Change the strategy, test it again, and submit the new version. A pass is never a promise of future returns, and a refusal isn’t a judgement on the idea, only on this version of it.
